In only six years this Andalusian company specialising in aircraft painting, sealing and basic furnishing has consolidated its status as one of the leading national and European firms in its field.

With a staff of 140 employees and a turnover of 9 million euros in 2009, STSA is currently focusing on the civil segment due to the delays suffered by the A400M programme. Its paint hangar located on the San Pablo Sur site in Seville has been certified by Airbus to paint its series aircraft.

The Andalusian company STSA (Sociedad de Tratamientos de Superficies Aeronáuticas) has mirrored the progress of the Andalusian aeronautical sector, which in recent years has continued to grow in terms of earnings, employment and technology. It is now a benchmark in the national and European sector, competing with other prestigious companies for major international contracts. This recently created company specialising in aircraft painting, sealing and basic furnishing is one of the many Andalusian business initiatives which have opted for one of the most promising industries over the last 25 years in Spain, and through hard work and determination it has managed to position itself as one of the leaders in its field. Since its establishment only six years ago in 2004, STSA has continued to gradually increase its production capacity and workload until reaching a turnover of 9.2 million euros in 2009 and a total staff of 140 employees.

This latter figure is of particularly importance to the company management, given that in spite of the current economic crisis STSA has increased its staff by 250% over the last three years, a reflection of its success despite its limited experience in the aeronautical industry. This Andalusian company has also managed to secure an important portfolio of customers, mainly in the national and European sector, including Airbus, Airbus Military, Alestis, Aernnova, Alitalia and Air France
