Nine companies from Aeropolis are granted six million euros for new technological infrastructure
A total of nine companies from Aeropolis, the Aerospace Technological Park of Andalusia located at La Rinconada (Seville) were granted more than 5.8 million euros to develop new scientific and technological infrastructure.
These incentives for private entities based in technological parks are offered by the Ministry of Science and Innovation as part of the National Programme for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011 (Innplanta).
A total of 4.1 million euros was assigned to the 2010 financial year and nearly 1.7 million euros for 2011.
The enterprises that will benefit from these incentives are the Andalusian Foundation for Aerospace Development (FADA), EADS, Sofitec, Teams, UMI Aeronáutica and the Association of Andalusian Aeronautical Companies.
It is noteworthy that 75% of the initiatives presented by companies from Aeropolis obtained financing, with approval of 9 of the 12 projects presented in 2010. In addition, the Aeronautical Park has received 11.4% of the total amount of funding for private infrastructure of this type obtained by the Andalusian region, which totalled 50.7 million euros.
