CT Ingenieros appoints Alain García new Council member

CT Ingenieros, one of the main Spanish engineering enterprises and the sole national engineering EADS supplier (E2S), member of the Hélice Corporate Action Council, which also has its own subsidiary in Andalusia, CT Ingeineros de Andalucía, has just appointed Alain García as a new member of its Council. Alain García will be also running the new Internationalization Committee, which is part of the CT Ingenieros’ 2011 business plan aimed at increasing visibility abroad.

Alain García has a wide and remarkable professional background. Among other responsibilities he has been member of the Executive Committee at Airbus, Executive Vice President of Engineering of Airbus, with more than 16.000 engineering of his charge. As a top Executive of Engineering he was responsible for the launch of the A330 and A340 since they were handed over and the certifications of the models A380, A340-600 and A340-500. He was also responsible for the launch of the military aircraft A400M or the new double-corridor plane from the European manufacturer, the A350 XWB.

Before joining Airbus, Alan García was Chief Engineer at Aerospatiale. This French enterprise together with the German DSA and the Spanish CASA gave rise EADS in 2000. He has been senior Vice-Chair and Head of the Team for Research and/or Strategy Committee for the Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research and Innovation in Europe (ACARE) since 2007. Mr. García currently serves as well as Head of Dassault Aviation, President of the French Air Academy and Member Emeritus of the French Aeronautical and Astronautical Association.
